  • ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature, for frosting)
  • 1 ¼1 ½ cups powdered sugar (sifted, for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons caramel sauce (for frosting)

  • 4 ½ ounces cream cheese (room temperature, for alternative frosting)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (room temperature, for alternative frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (for alternative frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a saucepan, boil the apple cider until reduced to 1/4 cup; let cool.
