  • 400g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • Chili flakes (optional)
  • Beef stock or water
  • 250g egg noodles
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. Marinate the thinly sliced beef in soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for 10 minutes.
  2. Cook the egg noodles in boiling water until tender; drain and set aside.
  3. Mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl: soy sauce, hoisin sauce, light brown sugar, rice vinegar, chili flakes (optional), and beef stock or water.
  4. In a hot wok with vegetable oil, sear the marinated beef until browned; set aside.
  5. Stir-fry garlic, ginger, and broccoli in the same wok for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Combine everything back in the wok with the prepared sauce and drained noodles; toss gently until heated through.
